Pertamina Retail didirikan pada tanggal 17 juni 1997, PT Petrajaya Lubindo adalah nama awal perusahaan ini dan bergerak di bidang usaha pelumas. Untuk menghadapi perubahan pasar retail khususnya Stasiun Pengisian Bahan Bakar Umum (SPBU) di Indonesia menuju pasar bebas dunia pada tanggal 1 September 2005 perusahaan ini mengganti namanya menjadi PT Pertamina Retail dan sejak Maret 2006 perusahaan mulai mengelola dan mengoperasikan SPBU. Pertamina Retail sebagai pelopor bisnis retail moderen di Indonesia dan mempunyai dua kegiatan bisnis yaitu bisnis produk BBM dan non BBM yang teritegrasi di lingkungan SPBU yang di miliki dan dioperasikan oleh perusahaan ini atau disebut SPBU COCO (Corporate Owned Corporate Operated). Melalui bisnis ritel bahan bakar SPBU yang di miliki dan dioperasikan sendiri perusahaan memasarkan bahan bakar minyak yang diproduksi oleh perusahaan induk. Perusahaan Pertamina Retail melakukan inovasi di bidang SPBU agar menjadi perusahaan retail terdepan dan memberikan kenyamanan pada pelanggan melalui SPBU Swalayan pelanggan dapat mengisi sendiri bahan bakar di tangki kendaraannya dan kedepannya di SPBU Swalayan dapat mengakomodasi pembayaran menggunakan kartu kredit dan kartu RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), SPBU Pertamax Series serta SPBU-T (Transportable).

PT Pertamina Retail tahun ini menyumbang pendapatan terbesar untuk Pertamina, hal ini terlihat dari laba perusahaan yang saat ini mencapai Rp 26 miliar. PT Pertamina Retail saat ini kembali membuka loker 2016 dengan kualifikasi sebagai berikut:

PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) adalah lembaga yang didirikan oleh pemerintah Belanda di Indonesia pada tahun 1912. Bursa Efek Indonesia pernah ditutup karena adanya perang dunia I dan dibuka kembali pada tahun 1977 dan dikembangkan menjadi bursa modal yang modern dengan menerapkan Jakarta Automoted Trading System (JATS) yang terintegrasi dengan sistem kliring dan penyelesaian serta depositori saham yang dimiliki oleh PT Kustodian Depositori Efek Indonesia (KDEI) dengan mengenai Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG). Perdagangan surat berharga pasar modal Indonesia dimulai 3 Juni 1952 akan tetapi 10 Agustus 1977 merupakan kebangkitan pasar modal Indonesia. Tahun 1992 bursa efek jakarta dipisahkan dari bapepam dan diswastakan. Abad ke 19 kegiatan jual beli saham di Indonesia dimulai, dengan berdirinya cabang bursa efek Vereniging Voor De Effectenhandel di Batavia pada tanggal 14 Desenber 1912 dan diikuti pembukaan cabang di Semarang dan Surabaya. Sejak terjadi Perang Dunia ke 2 pemerintah Hindia Belanda menutup lmbaga bursa tersebut pada tanggal 17 Mei 1940 dan semua efek harus disimpan di Bank yang ditunjuk. Tanggal 31 Juni 1952 pemerintah RI mengaktifkan kembali pasar modal di Indonesia melalui penjualan obligasi dan mendirikan Bursa Efek Jakarta (BEJ), karena keadaan ekonomi dan politik sedang bergejolak maka perkembangan bursa berjalan lambat. BEJ diaktifkan kembali pada Orde Baru yaitu tanggal 10 Agustus 1977 dan menetapkan pendirian badan pembina pasar modal, pembentukan badan pelaksana pasar modal. Periode dimana Indonesia dilanda krisis keuangan dengan menurunnya nilai mata uang negara negara Asia terhadap Dolar Amerika Serikat maka ditahun 2000 sistem perdagangan tanpa warkat di aplikasikan di pasar modal Indonesia. Tahun 2007 Bursa Efek Surabaya (BES) dan Bursa Efek Jakarta digabungkan dan berubah nama menjadi Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) yang mana saat ini menjadi pusat perdagangan efek yang tidak hanya diikuti oleh masyarakat Indonesia tetapi seluruh dunia

PT Bursa Efek Indonesia pada akhir tahun ini menuntut Bank Indonesia supaya menurunkan suku bunganya pada awal tahun 2016, hal ini karena pengaruh negara Amerika yang saat ini juga telah menurunkan suku bunganya sebesar 0,53 persen. Memasuki tahun 1990 an perseroan menyelesaikan pembangunan berbagai gedung bertingkat tinggi antara lain BNI City (gedung tertinggi di Indonesia), gedung perkantoran Bank Indonesia, Graha Niaga Tower, Mandiri Plaza Tower dan Hotel Shangri-La. Selain itu PT Waskita Karya juga mengembangkan kemampuan teknologi melalui kerja sama operasi bersama dan usaha bersama dengan perusahaan asing tekemuka dengan karya antara lain Reaktor Multiguna Sywabessy, Bandar Udara Sukarno-Hatta serta pusat Pembangkit Listrik Batu Bara Muara Karang, Jakarta. Hingga saat ini perusahaan terdiri dari beberapa wilayah dan divisi, kantor cabang dan anak perusahaan yang tersebar di Indonesia dan luar negeri.
